Pico Foot Ball Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Mercurio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 6th match minute, Pico Foot Ball Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justino Goyo to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the match, Pico Foot Ball Club's goal looked a bit too open when Benicio Urbez came free, but Omar Lawrence reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felipe Salvidor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardino Tano was a little too slow when Fidel Gutierrez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. If Edgard Mercurio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rueda AFC's Bernardino Tano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fidel Gutierrez in the 22nd minute of play. Adan Iraitz hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When Pico Foot Ball Club's Edgard Mercurio, in the 25th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Pico Foot Ball Club. Fidel Gutierrez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adan Iraitz kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Omar Lawrence took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Salvidor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Carolo Fernandes fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rueda AFC's protests and gave Carolo Fernandes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th minute, Carolo Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgard Mercurio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgard Mercurio struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Bernardino Tano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pico Foot Ball Club. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Adolfo Eudoxio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pico Foot Ball Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Eudoxio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardino Tano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benicio Urbez made a kick off. In the 60th minute of the match Nemesio Breogan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Omar Lawrence showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 62 played minutes Pico Foot Ball Club got a freekick which was hit by Justino Goyo. After 65 played minutes Pico Foot Ball Club got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Eudoxio. In the 66th minute, Felipe Salvidor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 77 minutes in the game, Felipe Salvidor fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Omar Lawrence having to interfere. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pico Foot Ball Club's goalkeeper Omar Lawrence, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Rueda AFC booed when Pico Foot Ball Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Corderro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Fidel Gutierrez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pico Foot Ball Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Fidel Gutierrez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardino Tano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ciriaco Carlomagno kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Bernardino Tano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fidel Gutierrez in the 88th minute of play. After 92 played minutes Rueda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ramon Txomin. Fidel Gutierrez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardino Tano having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Mercurio in the 96th minute of play forced Rueda AFC's goalkeeper Bernardino Tano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omar Lawrence showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benicio Urbez in the 99th minute of the match. Pico Foot Ball Club's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
