In the 18th minute, Cayetano Rivas made a precise shot to the right of Elpidio Lertxun. Juventus FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Elpidio Lertxun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cayetano Rivas in the 27th minute of the match. With a little luck, Gualeguaychú FC's Jaime Baudelio got control of the ball when Victorio Dalmau tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elpidio Lertxun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cayetano Rivas's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. In the 32nd match minute, Juventus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santo Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the game, Gualeguaychú FC's Emiliano Solustiano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elpidio Lertxun made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Cayetano Rivas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Cayetano Rivas sped through Juventus FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Elpidio Lertxun. After the first half Gualeguaychú FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hermengildo Honrio to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Gualeguaychú FC's Braulio Boniel got a free kick in the 50th minute. After 57 minutes, Tadeo Berenguer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juventus FC and the Gualeguaychú FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 57 played minutes Juventus FC got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Berenguer. Emiliano Solustiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gualeguaychú FC's Mauro Aznar couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 64th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Juventus FC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cayetano Rivas in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elpidio Lertxun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cayetano Rivass short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Elpidio Lertxun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 72nd minute, Cayetano Rivas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Juventus FC's Santo Azevedo got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Cayetano Rivas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elpidio Lertxun having to interfere. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gualeguaychú FC! After a rather tough play, Juventus FC's Ignacio Eutropio got a free kick in the 89th minute. Braulio Boniel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Elpidio Lertxun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Gualeguaychú FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Juventus FC throughout the match.
