The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 19 minutes Mantero AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Celedonio Iratxo who took care of the corner kick. Palermo FC's Celedonio Iratxo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Epifanio Steven in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Palermo FC's Serafin Laurgain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Hotz in the 21st minute of play. Tomás Garin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Epifanio Steven made a huge save. In the 25th minute, Elias Bermudez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Epifanio Steven. The goal made the score 1-0. 29 minutes into the match, Mantero AFC's goalkeeper Epifanio Steven had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomás Garin. Tomás Garin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Epifanio Steven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elias Bermudez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Rodolfo Hotz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serafin Laurgain was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 44th minute of the match Palermo FC got a corner. Mantero AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Celedonio Iratxo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Palermo FC's Celedonio Iratxo to fire away a dangerous shot which Epifanio Steven despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elias Bermudez to strike the kick off in the second half. Epifanio Steven showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Garin, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. When Oscar Benvido fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mantero AFC's protests and gave Oscar Benvido a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th minute, Oscar Benvido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute, Elias Bermudez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oscar Benvido got his second yellow card in the match during the 67th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 67th match minute, Mantero AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Benvido to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, Mantero AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Garin came free, but Epifanio Steven reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Epifanio Steven showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Garin in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Rodolfo Hotz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serafin Laurgain was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Epifanio Steven took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Bermudez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodolfo Hotz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Palermo FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mantero AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Mantero AFC.
