Lisandro Enaut stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Astor Aurken's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. The supporters of Unión de San Luis booed when Porteña was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Inge didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Vicente James had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes in the game, Astor Aurken fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lisandro Enaut having to interfere. Horacio Kelemen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Bertran in the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Guillermo Ixidor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Astor Aurken dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lisandro Enaut, 2-0. Astor Aurken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lisandro Enaut having to interfere.

Lisandro Enaut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente James in the 51st minute of play. Astor Aurken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Lisandro Enaut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Aurken in the 59th minute of play forced Unión de San Luis's goalkeeper Lisandro Enaut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Porteña fans cheered their team off the field, for while Unión de San Luis had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
