After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Faustino Gaufred managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Faustino Gaufred was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aaron Llorenc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Isidro Artaldo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Serafin Quintyn to make any attempt to save it. Mauricio Afonso struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Serafin Quintyn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carapaligüe. Mauricio Afonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Serafin Quintyn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Gaufred in the 21st minute of play forced Carapaligüe's goalkeeper Aaron Llorenc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serafin Quintyn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauricio Afonso in the 22nd minute. Serafin Quintyn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Artaldo in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Independiente's goalkeeper Serafin Quintyn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 26 minutes into the game, Mateo Tabor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Independiente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carapaligüe the free kick. In the 27th minute, Mateo Tabor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isidro Artaldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. When Angel Ekhi fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Independiente's protests and gave Angel Ekhi a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Angel Ekhi. Mateo Tabor was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Mateo Tabor kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Mauricio Afonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Quintyn having to interfere. When Carapaligüe's Isidro Artaldo in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Independiente's goalie prevented a goal. In the 66th minute, Faustino Gaufred got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aaron Llorenc came out of the goal and Faustino Gaufred tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angel Ekhi got his second yellow card in the match during the 87th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 88th minute, Angel Ekhi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isidro Artaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Quintyn having to interfere. Serafin Quintyn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Afonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidro Artaldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elpidio Semeno's late challenge caught a Carapaligüe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elpidio Semeno helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Semeno to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, Mauricio Afonso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carapaligüe's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
