Emiliano Avellaneda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Sindo in the 5th minute of the match. Ramon Basualdo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Avellaneda having to interfere. Ramon Basualdo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roberto Macias kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Emiliano Avellaneda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Artaldo in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Isidro Artaldo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emiliano Avellaneda. Irene AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isidro Artaldo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Isidro Artaldo might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emiliano Avellaneda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isidro Artaldo ran back to his position shaking his head. When Lorenzo Lugo fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Irene AFC's protests and gave Lorenzo Lugo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Lorenzo Lugo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emiliano Avellaneda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Basualdo, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Artaldo in the 47th minute of play forced Irene AFC's goalkeeper Emiliano Avellaneda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Ramon Basualdo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vagues's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramon Basualdo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emiliano Avellaneda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vagues's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramon Basualdo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isidro Artaldos short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Emiliano Avellaneda to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ramon Basualdo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emiliano Avellaneda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. When Roberto Macias fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Irene AFC's protests and gave Roberto Macias a yellow card for diving instead. After 64 played minutes Irene AFC got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Macias. If Isidro Artaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidro Artaldo struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Emiliano Avellaneda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vagues. Vagues played a much better game than Irene AFC and deserved their victory. The Irene AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
