La Real Cantera's Hermengildo Satordi got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Spartak de Moscú's corner Sergio Monte fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Felix Palos quite easily take care of the ball. Albano Lehior could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Felix Palos made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Arturo Favila took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Felix Palos to make any attempt to save it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arturo Favila to make the kick off. After 59 minutes of play, La Real Cantera's Hermengildo Satordi made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
