Covunco were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Rocha FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Sidoro took the corner. Jaime Sidoro made a great header on Covunco's corner, it was just that Rocha FC's Orlando Ieltxu managed to reach the ball for a save. Juan Richie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Dario Romero made a huge save. Oscar Bonifaco hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Eustaquio Gorbea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orlando Ieltxu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Agustin Frederico struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Dario Romero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rocha FC. Juan Richie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Dario Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximiliano Leoncio kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Rocha FC's Oscar Bonifaco broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 30 played minutes, Rocha FC's Casimiro Txema shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dario Romero came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rocha FC reached it. Juan Richie scored 1-0 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dario Romero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Celedonio Artizar to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Juan Richie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Celedonio Artizar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Orlando Ieltxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agustin Frederico in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dario Romero saved Covunco from getting behind. The supporters of Covunco booed when Rocha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fermin Asier didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Eustaquio Gorbea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Covunco's supporters rose to their feet, but Eustaquio Gorbea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlando Ieltxu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Rocha FC's zone, Celedonio Artizar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Ieltxu came out of the goal and Celedonio Artizar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Celedonio Artizar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Ieltxu having to interfere. After some careless play in the Covunco defense, Juan Richie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dario Romero. The Covunco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dario Romero should have stopped the shot. 77 minutes into the match, Covunco's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Frederico came free, but Dario Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Ieltxu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eustaquio Gorbea in the 85th minute. Rocha FC's Orlando Ieltxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celedonio Artizar in the 91st minute of play. Eustaquio Gorbea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celedonio Artizar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orlando Ieltxu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Covunco players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rocha FC.
