Victorino Gaxan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Erubiel Pabla. La Mano de Dios's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Arturo Favila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Spartak de Moscú's Felipe Orlondon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Segundo Sayveon in the 27th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Segundo Sayveon managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Mano de Dios's supporters rose to their feet, but Segundo Sayveon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felipe Orlondon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arturo Favila to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Marcelo Vachon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Segundo Sayveon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Felipe Orlondon made a huge save. If Marcelo Vachon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Christian Truylos hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. When Inocencio Theodore fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Spartak de Moscú's protests and gave Inocencio Theodore a yellow card for diving instead. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Marcelo Vachon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felipe Orlondon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Erubiel Pabla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Favila, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Spartak de Moscú's zone, Segundo Sayveon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felipe Orlondon came out of the goal and Segundo Sayveon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Spartak de Moscú getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Inocencio Theodore hit a great ball. Erubiel Pabla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Favila in the 94th minute of play. Albano Lehior received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Erubiel Pabla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inocencio Theodore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute.
