The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Feliberto Padro to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in La Consolata 2001's zone, Cayetano Cugat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciro Boni came out of the goal and Cayetano Cugat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Escobar's Cayetano Cugat got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adolfo Chaime recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leon Calisto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haroldo Indartsu in the 63rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eugenio Mannuel during the 65th minute. After 65 played minutes, Escobar's Haroldo Herensuge shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ciro Boni came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Escobar's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
