Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benito Naike in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vito Meirelles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 15 minutes, Cecilio Abalos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laguneros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cecilio Abalos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Paulo Mitxel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciro Guib made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Mitxel in the 22nd minute. Benito Naike fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vito Meirelles having to interfere. After having played for 30 minutes, Arnoldo Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laprida's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnoldo Furtado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Laguneros FC defense, Paulo Mitxel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ciro Guib. The Laguneros FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciro Guib should have stopped the shot. Pascual Etxeberri charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pascual Etxeberri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th match minute, Laprida was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascual Etxeberri to maneuver through the defense. Ciro Guib made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Paulo Mitxel sent off a good shot on target. Ciro Guib made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Mitxel in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arnoldo Furtado made a kick off. Laguneros FC's Augusto Harriet couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Laprida. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute, Ubaldo Teodor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnoldo Furtado struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Ciro Guib didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laprida. A collision led to Laguneros FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Anselmo Hechter hit a great ball. Leandro Chorche took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ciro Guib. Laguneros FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Paulo Mitxel took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ciro Guib. Ciro Guib dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Ciro Guib showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Cecilio Abalos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Vito Meirelles made a huge save. Paulo Mitxel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laguneros FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
