Eugenio Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Eusebio Olo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Octavio Videl was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 45th minute of the match, Ermegildo Vargas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hipolito Gaueko saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ermegildo Vargas made a kick off. Ermegildo Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Deprotivo Tronquitos booed when Mercedes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Salvidor didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Ermegildo Vargas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
