Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 5th minute, Boca Jr's Florencio Isadore ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mario Bertin. Mario Bertin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Luciano Jurgi hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. If Angelo Etxepare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Efrain Dolfo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Marcos Teofilio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Isadore in the 15th minute of play forced Triperos FC's goalkeeper Mario Bertin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Bermudo kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Angelo Etxepare ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Teofilio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After having played for 28 minutes, Florencio Isadore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boca Jr's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florencio Isadore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eugenio Araoz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mario Bertin having to make a save. Boca Jr's Marcos Teofilio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Etxepare in the 45th minute of play. After 47 minutes, Fabio Gil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Triperos FC and the Boca Jr players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fabio Gil hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florencio Isadore stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benito Bermudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelo Etxepare got free with Marcos Teofilio in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Angelo Etxepare kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Florencio Isadore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Mario Bertin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florencio Isadore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Boca Jr's zone, Efrain Dolfo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Teofilio came out of the goal and Efrain Dolfo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Boca Jr's Marcos Teofilio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Boca Jr from getting a goal against them. Mario Bertin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Isadore in the 83rd minute of play. If Angelo Etxepare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marcos Teofilio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Efrain Dolfo's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Florencio Isadore managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca Jr's supporters rose to their feet, but Florencio Isadore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mario Bertin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eugenio Araoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Bertin having to interfere. Eugenio Araoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Boca Jr had won after a very even match.
