Luisito Columbo took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ciriaco Romano. Ciriaco Romano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 13 minutes into the game, Jonathan Sandaili was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Nacional de Fútbol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ripamonti the free kick. Jonathan Sandaili kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The supporters of Ripamonti booed when Club Nacional de Fútbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Opilano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orlando Osoitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Cidro having to interfere. If Orlando Osoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristo Martxot scored 2-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rigoberto Cidro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th minute Cristo Martxot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Cidro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dalmacio Fonda in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciriaco Romano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Ripamonti's Alvaro Tipi got a free kick in the 38th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of Ripamonti:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Club Nacional de Fútbol:s goal. If Orlando Osoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristo Martxot to make the kick off. Rigoberto Cidro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Osoitz in the 51st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luisito Columbo got free with Ciriaco Romano in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Club Nacional de Fútbol's Arnaldo Opilano got a free kick in the 54th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Dalmacio Fonda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ripamonti's supporters rose to their feet, but Dalmacio Fonda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciriaco Romano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Club Nacional de Fútbol booed when Ripamonti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliberto Bernaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute there was a penalty for Ripamonti. Amado Txatxu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ciriaco Romano. 3-2. Ripamonti's Dalmacio Fonda got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Sandaili got his second yellow card in the match during the 76th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 77th minute, Jonathan Sandaili hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78thth minute of the game Dalmacio Fonda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Nacional de Fútbol's Ciriaco Romano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Dalmacio Fonda took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Ciriaco Romano to make any attempt to save it. Orlando Osoitz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rigoberto Cidro having to make a save. Orlando Osoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Celso Diegotxe fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ripamonti's protests and gave Celso Diegotxe a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club Nacional de Fútbol booed when Ripamonti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Diegotxe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Nacional de Fútbol were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ripamonti for a fine match.
