When Sebastian Espiridion came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the RACING CLUB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Espiridion couldn't finish the play. Godfredo Peyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. German Kemen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Godfredo Peyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Kemen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Peyo in the 35th minute of play forced Urquiza FC's goalkeeper German Kemen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in RACING CLUB's zone, Melquiades Berdoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavino Matia came out of the goal and Melquiades Berdoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silvio Santiago hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. German Kemen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Peyo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gavino Matia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Rafe in the 41st minute of play. Jimeno Rafe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Gavino Matia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Melquiades Berdoi was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvaro Martxot got free with Gavino Matia in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Godfredo Peyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute Godfredo Peyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Kemen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Godfredo Peyo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the game, RACING CLUB's Sebastian Espiridion nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. German Kemen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Jimeno Rafe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Gavino Matia made a huge save. Jimeno Rafe succeeded in the game's 93rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
