Funky Monks FC's Paolo Gaspard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eloy Gaizko in the 15th minute of play. When Marciano Uxio fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Funky Monks FC's protests and gave Marciano Uxio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ciénaga booed when Funky Monks FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marciano Uxio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luis Dacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Fulgencio Pierres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The wind increased when Filomeno Su made the kick off in the second half. Eloy Gaizko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paolo Gaspard having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Gaizko in the 57th minute of play forced Funky Monks FC's goalkeeper Paolo Gaspard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ciénaga booed when Funky Monks FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedicto Virila didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eloy Gaizko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The long shot by Gaspar Vito in the 68th minute really tested Fulgencio Pierres's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Funky Monks FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Dacio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fulgencio Pierres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute, Filomeno Su got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Filomeno Su succeeded in the game's 83rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Funky Monks FC's Gualterio Oidor shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 86th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fulgencio Pierres but with some difficulty. After 87 played minutes Funky Monks FC got a freekick which was hit by Marciano Uxio. When Filomeno Su came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Funky Monks FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filomeno Su couldn't finish the play. The Funky Monks FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Funky Monks FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
