Zeledon Peter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damian Bittor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. 3 N's Siro Dimas shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 25th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Lorenzo Etxeberri but with some difficulty. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Zeledon Peter managed to get in a good position for a shot. IRON RACING's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeledon Peter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damian Bittor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 42 minutes into the match, 3 N's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Peter came free, but Damian Bittor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulino Atarrabi hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Pablo Criston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Etxeberri having to interfere. Zeledon Peter might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Damian Bittor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zeledon Peter ran back to his position shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
