In a very dangerous position, a player in Palacios fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! If Gerardo Ler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rosendo Filipo hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Palacios's zone, Rosendo Filipo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerardo Firmo came out of the goal and Rosendo Filipo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gerardo Ler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerardo Firmo having to interfere. Gerardo Firmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rosendo Filipo in the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Gerardo Ler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerardo Firmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rosendo Filipo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerardo Ler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerardo Firmo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Gerardo Firmo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rosendo Filipo, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Rosendo Filipo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Palacios getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Sebastian Emenon hit a great ball. After 37 minutes of play, Pourtalé AFC's Rosendo Filipo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerardo Firmo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rosendo Filipo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerardo Firmo having to interfere. Palacios's Gerardo Firmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Ler in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Gerardo Ler had several of the Palacios's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 53 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Gerardo Firmo as he didn't even see the shot coming. 61 minutes into the game, Anacleto Piarres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pourtalé AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palacios the free kick. Anacleto Piarres hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Gerardo Ler in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gerardo Firmo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Pourtalé AFC booed when Palacios was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Medero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th of the match, Rosendo Filipo tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Gerardo Firmo got in the way and made a wonderful save. Gerardo Firmo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rosendo Filipo's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Chayo helped the player get up and apologised. Gerardo Firmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rosendo Filipo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Palacios's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gerardo Ler fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Rosendo Filipo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerardo Firmo having to interfere. Gerardo Firmo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rosendo Filipo's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. 94 minutes into the match, Palacios's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Filipo came free, but Gerardo Firmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
