The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eulalio Haritzeder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filomeno Vimaro having to interfere. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind RENGUEROS's goalkeeper Prudencio Osasun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Santiago Gerazan might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Prudencio Osasun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Santiago Gerazan ran back to his position shaking his head. Benjamin Osoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filomeno Vimaro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eulalio Haritzeder went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Mixto defense, Eulalio Haritzeder kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filomeno Vimaro. The Mixto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filomeno Vimaro should have stopped the shot. Eulalio Haritzeder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filomeno Vimaro having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Haritzeder in the 28th minute of play forced Mixto's goalkeeper Filomeno Vimaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. RENGUEROS's Orlando Oxarra got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Prudencio Osasun made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Santiago Gerazan sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Mixto's Benjamin Osoro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Prudencio Osasun. That made the score 1-2 after 43 minutes of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eulalio Haritzeder made a kick off. Danilo Mantzio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Prudencio Osasun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Santiago Gerazan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. RENGUEROS's Prudencio Osasun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Osoro in the 58th minute of play. When Alejo Cesario fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mixto's protests and gave Alejo Cesario a yellow card for diving instead. 59 minutes into the game, one of Mixto:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 61st minute there was a penalty for RENGUEROS. Natalio Dimo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Filomeno Vimaro. 1-3. After 65 played minutes Mixto got a freekick which was hit by Alejo Cesario. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Orlando Oxarra managed to get in a good position for a shot. RENGUEROS's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Oxarra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filomeno Vimaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Mixto's zone, Eulalio Haritzeder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filomeno Vimaro came out of the goal and Eulalio Haritzeder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santiago Gerazan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Prudencio Osasun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjamin Osoro struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Prudencio Osasun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mixto. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Benjamin Osoro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mixto's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Osoro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prudencio Osasun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. RENGUEROS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
