Candelaria FC's Osvaldo Vasco got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 26th minute, Anselmo Rencio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Candelaria FC's Osvaldo Vasco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedro Mendiko. That made the score 2-0 after 28 minutes of play. Venancio Ihazintu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arsenio Bakar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th match minute, Candelaria FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Charro to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute Arsenio Bakar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Ihazintu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Mendiko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Vasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Lucas Llanos struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Venancio Ihazintu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Romang.
