But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boyne Ferguson couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in El Rejunte F.C's zone, Ahmet Arif Afacan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fidel Cai came out of the goal and Ahmet Arif Afacan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernan Madaleno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Fidel Cai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, BETCO's Leo Urko got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Serafino Gaueko during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to El Rejunte F.C getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Serafino Gaueko hit a great ball. Atilano Isauro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El Rejunte F.C's Fidel Cai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernan Madaleno in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Carlos Datoru made a precise shot to the right of Fidel Cai. El Rejunte F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Boyne Ferguson might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fidel Cai. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Boyne Ferguson ran back to his position shaking his head. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Atilano Isauro made a kick off. After 54 minutes of play El Rejunte F.C's Serafino Gaueko was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Rejunte F.C's goalkeeper Fidel Cai, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fidel Cai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernan Madaleno in the 58th minute of play. Boyne Ferguson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Arif Afacan succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 65th playminute. El Rejunte F.C's Fidel Cai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernan Madaleno in the 72nd minute of play. Fidel Cai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernan Madaleno, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. If Amadeo Maule had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Boyne Ferguson fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BETCO's protests and gave Boyne Ferguson a yellow card for diving instead. Boyne Ferguson kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Manuel Elorri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Heriberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Fernan Madaleno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Fidel Cai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Atilano Isauro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Elorri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over BETCO could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than El Rejunte F.C throughout the match.
