With a little luck, Echagüe Fútbol Club's Rogelio Maureo got control of the ball when Ubaldo Dalmu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th minute Tomás Bastia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogelio Maureo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Javier Vedillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonatan Quinteros in the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonatan Quinteros in the 43rd minute of play forced Libertad AFC's goalkeeper Javier Vedillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomás Bastia made a kick off. After 56 played minutes Libertad AFC got a freekick which was hit by Igor Nabar. Echagüe Fútbol Club's Roberto Cordarrol shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 57th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Javier Vedillo but with some difficulty. The crowd rose to their feet as Jonatan Quinteros kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Javier Vedillo. That made the score 1-1 in the 58 minute of play. Ubaldo Dalmu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Rogelio Maureo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Igor Nabar came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Libertad AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Nabar couldn't finish the play. After recieving a nice pass, Libertad AFC's Mariano Nazario tried to score from far away in the 68th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Rogelio Maureo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Bastia in the 71st minute of the match. Rogelio Maureo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubaldo Dalmu, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Echagüe Fútbol Club's zone, Tomás Bastia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogelio Maureo came out of the goal and Tomás Bastia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Echagüe Fútbol Club's Baldomero Lore got a free kick in the 79th minute. Javier Vedillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonatan Quinteros, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Ubaldo Dalmu notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Echagüe Fútbol Club's Rogelio Maureo. Rogelio Maureo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ubaldo Dalmu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Rogelio Maureo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute, Emilio Bastiaro made a precise shot to the right of Javier Vedillo. Libertad AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
