Atilano Telesforo in the 3rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Godfredo Raymond, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Bernabe Selmo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Godfredo Raymond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Atilano Telesforo got free with Godfredo Raymond in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Godfredo Raymond didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Atilano Telesforo went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Atilano Telesforo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Godfredo Raymond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Brais to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, River Plate's Godfredo Raymond got control of the ball when Atilano Telesforo tried to sneak it across the goal line. River Plate's Prudencio Venceslao got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ibicuy AFC's Samuel Rudolfo got his second yellow card of the match in the 29th minute. The referee ordered Samuel Rudolfo off the ground. The supporters of River Plate booed when Ibicuy AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Rudolfo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abel Calvino, 31 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The audience was convinced that Prudencio Venceslao's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alonzo Esiquio was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Atilano Telesforo to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Geronimo Goiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Esiquio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prudencio Venceslao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Esiquio having to interfere. In the 62nd match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Millrick to maneuver through the defense. Alonzo Esiquio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Goiz in the 66th minute of play. Prudencio Venceslao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Esiquio having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geronimo Goiz in the 76th minute of play forced Ibicuy AFC's goalkeeper Alonzo Esiquio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prudencio Venceslao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ibicuy AFC's zone, Geronimo Goiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alonzo Esiquio came out of the goal and Geronimo Goiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. River Plate's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
