After a rather tough play, Moctezuma FC's Baltasar Gonchan got a free kick in the 4th minute. When Abel Gonsalvo came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Santos de Lucas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Gonsalvo couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Santos de Lucas getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Epifanio Joachim hit a great ball. Gilberto Acosta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guaberto Bitxintxo in the 10th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Guaberto Bitxintxo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilberto Acosta. Santos de Lucas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guaberto Bitxintxo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a little luck, Moctezuma FC's Ricardo Gabrio got control of the ball when Claudio Theobald tried to sneak it across the goal line. Santos de Lucas's Abel Gonsalvo got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Guaberto Bitxintxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Higinio Xacintu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moctezuma FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Higinio Xacintu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Acosta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 30 played minutes Santos de Lucas got a freekick which was hit by Ciriaco Tabby. Fabian Benvido blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilberto Acosta having to make a save. Gilberto Acosta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guaberto Bitxintxo's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Xacintu in the 43rd minute of play forced Santos de Lucas's goalkeeper Gilberto Acosta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Santos de Lucas getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Epifanio Joachim hit a great ball. Federico Rafe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gilberto Acosta. Santos de Lucas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Guaberto Bitxintxo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Abel Gonsalvo made the kick off in the second half. Baltasar Gonchan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Gilberto Acosta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Abel Gonsalvo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Claudio Theobald came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Santos de Lucas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudio Theobald couldn't finish the play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Moctezuma FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! 62 minutes into the match, Santos de Lucas's goalkeeper Gilberto Acosta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guaberto Bitxintxo. Gilberto Acosta was a little too slow when Guaberto Bitxintxo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 1-2. Santos de Lucas's Claudio Theobald got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abel Gonsalvo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Gabrio having to interfere. Moctezuma FC's Ricardo Gabrio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Gonsalvo in the 74th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Santos de Lucas's zone, Higinio Xacintu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Acosta came out of the goal and Higinio Xacintu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gilberto Acosta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higinio Xacintu, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. If Higinio Xacintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 85th minute, Guaberto Bitxintxo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Guaberto Bitxintxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Guaberto Bitxintxo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Moctezuma FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
