Godofredo Ihazintu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jacinto Constancio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godofredo Ihazintu having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, Club Atlético Guantánamo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pastor Veremundo to maneuver through the defense. When Marcelino Aztore came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Club Atlético Guantánamo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelino Aztore couldn't finish the play. After 27 minutes of play Club Atlético Guantánamo's Enrique Montxo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Club Atlético Guantánamo getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Enrique Montxo hit a great ball. In the 29th minute of the match Omar Bizen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Godofredo Ihazintu skillfully saved the ball. Club Atlético Guantánamo's Godofredo Ihazintu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Constancio in the 32nd minute of play. Pastor Veremundo hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Pascual Ipar took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Pitin. Rolando Pitin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Orán AFC booed when Club Atlético Guantánamo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pastor Veremundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pascual Ipar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Jacinto Constancio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Orán AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Godofredo Ihazintu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabricio Quilo in the 58th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Jacinto Constancio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orán AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
