After 24 played minutes Almagro got a freekick which was hit by Moises Erruki. Cayetano Euloxu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Primitivo Gil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Ruisko in the 32nd minute of play forced Liverpool's goalkeeper Cayetano Euloxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Almagro's Atilano Salvator played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Barea in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 73rd minute, Ignacio Guillelmo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armando Barea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Atilano Salvator tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
