After recieving a nice pass, Muxor's Robustiano Matei tried to score from far away in the 19th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atilano Cordera in the 20th minute of play forced Drogones FC's goalkeeper Julian Leobardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gervasio Celipe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julian Leobardo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Teofilo Tello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camilo Senon in the 24th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Drogones FC's zone, Gervasio Celipe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julian Leobardo came out of the goal and Gervasio Celipe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julian Leobardo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Atilano Cordera went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 34th minute Cristobal Telmo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Tello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atilano Cordera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Julian Leobardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Herminio Bermund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Julian Leobardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervasio Celipe in the 46th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Drogones FC's zone, Atilano Cordera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julian Leobardo came out of the goal and Atilano Cordera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristobal Telmo was the one to do the kick off. In the 60th minute Atilano Cordera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Leobardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Gervasio Celipe fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Julian Leobardo, passed just outside the right post. 65 minutes into the game, Drogones FC's Cristobal Telmo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teofilo Tello made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Zeledon Peyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Tello having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atilano Cordera in the 73rd minute of play forced Drogones FC's goalkeeper Julian Leobardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Camilo Senon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Drogones FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Camilo Senon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teofilo Tello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Muxor's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
