If Christian Quintyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignacio Iratzeder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Camilo Gonsalvo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adan Dominguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Almirante Brown's Ignacio Iratzeder quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Arnoldo Montae, made in the 18th minute of the game. Ignacio Iratzeder hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Camilo Gonsalvo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severiano Cristofor, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 24 minutes into the game, River Plate's Severiano Cristofor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Camilo Gonsalvo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Almirante Brown's Ignacio Iratzeder quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Victorino Gelacio, made in the 28th minute of the game. In the 31st minute, Miguel Sesuldo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camilo Gonsalvo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Alfredo Nevada charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Camilo Gonsalvo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adan Dominguez in the 43rd minute of the match. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Casimiro Gelacio to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severiano Cristofor got free with Camilo Gonsalvo in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Casimiro Gelacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Jonathan Beat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Adan Dominguez fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Almirante Brown the free kick. The supporters of Almirante Brown booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Gasteiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adan Dominguez in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Camilo Gonsalvo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Beat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Quintyn in the 87th minute of the match. Ismael Gasteiz made in the 88th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Miguel Sesuldo however managed to control. Camilo Gonsalvo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adan Dominguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ignacio Iratzeder got his second yellow card in the match during the 93rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Severiano Cristofor scored 0-3 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Camilo Gonsalvo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle went the supporters of River Plate were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Almirante Brown side.
