Lino Liberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Otsoko having to interfere. Montiel's Armando Otsoko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Montiel from getting a goal against them. Lino Liberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltasar Pio in the 20th minute of play forced Montiel's goalkeeper Armando Otsoko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute Aureliano Blai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascual Peter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Blai in the 34th minute of play forced Cruzados's goalkeeper Pascual Peter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Moises Johans ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pascual Peter was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 42 minutes into the match, Cruzados's goal looked a bit too open when Aureliano Blai came free, but Pascual Peter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Montiel were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baltasar Pio to make the kick off. Aureliano Blai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Pascual Peter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moises Johans who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Pascual Peter when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Cruzados's Jorge Roldanillo got a free kick in the 57th minute. Pascual Peter made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Moises Johans sent off a good shot on target. Armando Otsoko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltasar Pio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Pascual Peter managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Montiel's Moises Johans fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 70 minutes into the match, Cruzados's goal looked a bit too open when Aureliano Blai came free, but Pascual Peter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Cruzados getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Marciano Cordero hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Cruzados's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Moises Johans fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Baldomiro Ovando might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pascual Peter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baldomiro Ovando ran back to his position shaking his head. Constantino Martxot kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Pascual Peter was a little too slow when Moises Johans got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 1-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Montiel walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
