In the 41st minute, Pedro Gomez made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Beat. River Plate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Pascual Asur kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Jonathan Beat was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 50th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Francisco Gomesano. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gerardo Mannuel to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the game, River Plate's Severiano Cristofor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Justo Koldo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Lino Ciano hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. If Severiano Cristofor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, TALLERES's Pedro Gomez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Beat narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Adan Dominguez managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Adan Dominguez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justo Koldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 71 minutes, Gerardo Mannuel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TALLERES's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerardo Mannuel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gerardo Mannuel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Jonathan Beat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate's zone, Gerardo Mannuel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Beat came out of the goal and Gerardo Mannuel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Miguel Sesuldo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 97 minutes had been played. Miguel Sesuldo hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, TALLERES's Francisco Gomesano tried to score from far away in the 99th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. TALLERES were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing River Plate to leave the ground with a draw.
