The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, Almirante Brown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Orti to maneuver through the defense. After 5 played minutes, QBSLC's Benigno Baraquiel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Camilo Gonsalvo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in QBSLC reached it. 11 minutes into the match, Almirante Brown's Casimiro Gelacio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruno Louis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 13 played minutes, QBSLC's Benigno Baraquiel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Camilo Gonsalvo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Camilo Gonsalvo came out and tried to block the shot, but Benigno Joanes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 19th minute. Camilo Gonsalvo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benigno Joanes in the 23rd minute of play. If Benigno Baraquiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the game, Omar Orti threw the ball into play from the sideline. QBSLC's Benigno Joanes quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Camilo Gonsalvo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benigno Joanes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Camilo Gonsalvo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benigno Joanes, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. QBSLC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benigno Joanes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 38 minutes into the game, QBSLC's Vladimiro Fernandez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Camilo Gonsalvo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When Benigno Baraquiel came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the QBSLC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benigno Baraquiel couldn't finish the play. Camilo Gonsalvo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimiro Fernandez in the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, QBSLC's Benigno Joanes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Casimiro Gelacio made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Benigno Joanes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Gonsalvo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benigno Joanes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Gonsalvo having to interfere. QBSLC's Laureano Jayvier quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Omar Orti, made in the 56th minute of the game. Camilo Gonsalvo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Vladimiro Fernandez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. QBSLC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
