The referee ignored Ranqueles's protests and gave Fermin Urti a yellow card for diving instead. Fermin Urti kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, one of Ñandues FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ñandues FC. In the 31st minute, the referee gave Ranqueles a penalty. Felipe Romero looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Jonathan Iban. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Javiero in the 33rd minute of play forced Ñandues FC's goalkeeper Jonathan Iban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ñandues FC's Bernabe Lugo got a free kick in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

51 minutes into the match, Ñandues FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Javiero came free, but Jonathan Iban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Iban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesar Brais in the 63rd minute of play. Leonardo Javiero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Jonathan Iban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Iban took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Macario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laureano Lucado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Gabon in the 71st minute of the match. In the 83rd match minute, Ranqueles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Donostia to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Iban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesar Brais in the 92nd minute of play. After 96 minutes of play, Ranqueles's Leonardo Javiero made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Iban was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ñandues FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Ranqueles had won, even though Ñandues FC had held more of the ball.
