With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zeledon Loiola in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Haroldo Bartolome saved Almafuerte from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Ubaldo Sayveon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Almafuerte's supporters rose to their feet, but Ubaldo Sayveon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Egoitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Haroldo Bartolome didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zeledon Loiola went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 33rd minute, Damaso Valiente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Silvestre Loi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rodolfo Egoitz. That made the score 1-1 in the 35 minute of play. Angelino Berbiz made in the 42nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Almafuerte's Silvestre Loi. Mauro Ermengol kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 48th minute Ezequiel Manilan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo Bartolome saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ezequiel Manilan was the one to do the kick off.
