After a defensive mix-up in Emma's zone, Zacarias Pedroso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florentino Nel came out of the goal and Zacarias Pedroso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emma's Florentino Nel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Uzuri in the 17th minute of play. Ovidio Bento kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Natalio Urtsua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonides Guipuzkoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timoteo Maties having to interfere. After 30 played minutes Sporting Tucson got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Isidor. Timoteo Maties made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonides Guipuzkoa in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the game, Leonides Guipuzkoa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Timoteo Maties. Leonides Guipuzkoa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. After having played for 49 minutes, Pablo Uzuri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Tucson's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pablo Uzuri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zacarias Pedroso was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Florentino Nel managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Sporting Tucson's Pablo Uzuri fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 61st minute Zacarias Pedroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Nel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64thth minute Maximiliano Buinton easily got through Sporting Tucson's defense and fired away a shot, but Timoteo Maties leaped left and performed a fabulous save. After 66 minutes Sporting Tucson's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maximiliano Buinton who took care of the corner kick. When Efrain Blanco fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Tucson's protests and gave Efrain Blanco a yellow card for diving instead. If Natalio Urtsua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74thth minute of the game Natalio Urtsua who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Tucson's Timoteo Maties was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 74 minutes, Ovidio Bento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting Tucson and the Emma players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Emma booed when Sporting Tucson was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidio Bento didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 82 played minutes, Emma's Maximiliano Buinton shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Timoteo Maties came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Emma reached it. 84 minutes into the match, Emma's Natalio Urtsua sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Timoteo Maties narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Guipuzkoa in the 87th minute of play forced Sporting Tucson's goalkeeper Timoteo Maties to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Sporting Tucson booed when Emma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Edur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emma's Florentino Nel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zacarias Pedroso in the 95th minute of play. In the 97th match minute, Sporting Tucson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Eladio to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Leonides Guipuzkoa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Emma's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonides Guipuzkoa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Timoteo Maties breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Emma had won after a very even match.
