FC Ryukyu's Saturnino Asier couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 7th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Godoy Cruz. In the 11th minute, Jimeno Brais hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Ryukyu's Gaston Fernendo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 16th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. FC Ryukyu's Gaston Fernendo got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 23 played minutes Godoy Cruz got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Pereyra. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmacio Eufemio in the 27th minute of play forced FC Ryukyu's goalkeeper Ambrosio Alfonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogelio Galindo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Natalio Quico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rogelio Galindo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conrado Pereyra's late challenge caught a FC Ryukyu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conrado Pereyra helped the player get up and apologised. Conrado Pereyra hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Ambrosio Alfonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmacio Eufemio in the 39th minute of the match. After having played for 41 minutes, Gaston Fernendo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Ryukyu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaston Fernendo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 42 in the game by Rogelio Galindo from a close distance when the talented Natalio Quico managed to make a qualified save. Godoy Cruz's players were relieved. In the 44th minute, Gaston Fernendo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ambrosio Alfonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmacio Eufemio in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristo Palben was the one to do the kick off. Natalio Quico didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rogelio Galindo went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 58th minute Jimeno Brais suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. A collision led to Godoy Cruz getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Conrado Pereyra hit a great ball. Saturnino Asier shot a long shot in the 60th minute and a light blocked Natalio Quico hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 3-0. Rogelio Galindo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Natalio Quico having to make a save. If Augusto Cedro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Rogelio Galindo managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Ryukyu's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogelio Galindo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natalio Quico breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Natalio Quico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rogelio Galindo's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Rogelio Galindo might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Natalio Quico. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rogelio Galindo ran back to his position shaking his head. Rogelio Galindo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Natalio Quico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaston Fernendo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Natalio Quico didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rogelio Galindo went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Rogelio Galindo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Natalio Quico was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rogelio Galindo in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Natalio Quico prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Dalmacio Eufemio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Ryukyu walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
