The tension between the C.A. INDEPENDIENTE and the Rosario Futbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Rosario Futbol Club booed when C.A. INDEPENDIENTE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Ieltxu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 19 in the game by Teodosio Urbez from a close distance when the talented Edgard Aznar managed to make a qualified save. C.A. INDEPENDIENTE's players were relieved. Teodosio Urbez's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edgard Aznar firmly grabbed it by the left post. Edgard Aznar made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Teodosio Urbez sent off a good shot on target. In the 37th match minute, C.A. INDEPENDIENTE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Ostadar to maneuver through the defense. Teodosio Urbez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Edgard Aznar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Teodosio Urbez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. C.A. INDEPENDIENTE's Edgard Aznar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geronimo Markel in the 45th minute of play. After the first half C.A. INDEPENDIENTE were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Geronimo Markel made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Rosario Futbol Club getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Geronimo Markel hit a great ball. Herminio Amaya made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Mariano Eskuin sent off a good shot on target. Gonzalo Gartzi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Herminio Amaya having to make a save. In the 58th minute, one of Rosario Futbol Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rosario Futbol Club. During the 62nd minute of the match Mario Ieltxu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mario Ieltxu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 62nd minute, Mario Ieltxu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariano Eskuin kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After 67 minutes C.A. INDEPENDIENTE's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Arce who took care of the corner kick. Geronimo Markel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Edgard Aznar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geronimo Markel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Aznar having to interfere. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. INDEPENDIENTE's goalkeeper Edgard Aznar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Geronimo Markel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teodosio Urbez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 96 minutes, Geronimo Markel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rosario Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geronimo Markel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Rosario Futbol Club booed when C.A. INDEPENDIENTE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cirilo Rudolfo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched C.A. INDEPENDIENTE eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
