After 22 minutes of play Portalis's Vicente Goren was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 45th minute there was a penalty for C.A. INDEPENDIENTE. Anibal Dimo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Prudencio Pelayo. 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alejandro Tiso to strike the kick off in the second half. Ariel Tiniebra charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cirilo Rudolfo couldn't finish the play. Alejandro Tiso in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edgard Aznar, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
