Genaro Larra came out of the goal and Edelmiro Aragones tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Che Oncativo's Primitivo Iraunkor got a free kick in the 11th minute. Edelmiro Aragones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute, Honorio Bras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Honorio Bras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genaro Larra having to interfere. Silvestre Eguzki scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alsan Koehler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th match minute, Byron Bay City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Paez to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Marciano Tibalt in the 31st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Byron Bay City's Remco Tijink. After a defensive mix-up in Che Oncativo's zone, Edelmiro Aragones stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Genaro Larra came out of the goal and Edelmiro Aragones tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Genaro Larra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edelmiro Aragones went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Clodoveo Ferrando's late challenge caught a Byron Bay City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clodoveo Ferrando helped the player get up and apologised. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Primitivo Iraunkor during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Byron Bay City booed when Che Oncativo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Iraunkor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Genaro Larra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Paez, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Paez in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Genaro Larra saved Che Oncativo from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Che Oncativo's Everardo Loco got a free kick in the 60th minute. Edelmiro Aragones took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Genaro Larra. Genaro Larra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Fernan Chinto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alsan Koehler firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 79 played minutes Che Oncativo got a freekick which was hit by Carmelo Leobardo. Alsan Koehler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Eguzki in the 85th minute of play. A collision led to Byron Bay City getting a freekick after 89 minutes play.
