The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Encón's Segundo Serafo got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Vamos los pibes's zone, Gogo Matxin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celestino Osorio came out of the goal and Gogo Matxin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gogo Matxin to make the kick off. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Vamos los pibes's Ramon Millan in the 52nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Abelardo Urtungo was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Encón through an amazing save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Encón fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vamos los pibes had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
