Nunez Urtungo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Qwinton in the 6th minute of play. Celedonio Resto hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Raul Moise hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ariel Toli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Gonzalez, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 22 played minutes Ávalos got a freekick which was hit by Erubiel Tulio. After a rather tough play, Ávalos's Gogo Valerio got a free kick in the 29th minute. Luisito Cresencio took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ariel Toli. Ariel Toli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A hard shot 38 in the game by Francisco Erasto from a close distance when the talented Nunez Urtungo managed to make a qualified save. Palmitas's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Gonzalez in the 43rd minute of play forced Ávalos's goalkeeper Ariel Toli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Qwinton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, Palmitas's Amancio Gonzalez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ariel Toli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 49th minute, Luisito Cresencio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amancio Gonzalez to strike the kick off in the second half. Erubiel Tulio kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Amancio Gonzalez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ariel Toli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nunez Urtungo came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Ávalos's Francisco Erasto. But to his dismay, Francisco Erasto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Ávalos's Ariel Toli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amancio Gonzalez in the 63rd minute of play. After 68 played minutes Ávalos got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Perpinya. Luisito Cresencio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Ávalos's Francisco Erasto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nunez Urtungo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amancio Gonzalez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ariel Toli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amancio Gonzalez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luisito Cresencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Toli having to interfere. Denis Qwinton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Denis Qwinton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ávalos's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Qwinton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nunez Urtungo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Palmitas players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
