Remigio Ceandro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ildefonso Hulberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Rosario Central booed when Bandera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Aznaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Cipriano Aznaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bandera's supporters rose to their feet, but Cipriano Aznaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Siro Donzel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Bandera defense, Ildefonso Hulberto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Remigio Ceandro. The Bandera fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remigio Ceandro should have stopped the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Jimeno Ubarna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Ceandro having to interfere. Remigio Ceandro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Lamberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remigio Ceandro acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 66th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Claudio Fernendo. In the 68th minute, Ildefonso Hulberto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remigio Ceandro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 70 played minutes Rosario Central got a freekick which was hit by Cirilo Lleir. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathan Nazario in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Siro Donzel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Bandera booed when Rosario Central was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Checa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Bandera's goalkeeper Remigio Ceandro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ildefonso Hulberto. Ildefonso Hulberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rosario Central eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
