The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Epifanio Santo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorato Pio having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, Anjulio AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Feliz to maneuver through the defense. Honorato Pio was a little too slow when Victorio Abastas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-1. 25 minutes into the match, Anjulio AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Victorio Abastas came free, but Honorato Pio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Epifanio Santo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nueve y Tres's supporters rose to their feet, but Epifanio Santo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Honorato Pio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victorio Abastas in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Honorato Pio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Simon Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Txordon, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When Teofilo Txordon came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Anjulio AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teofilo Txordon couldn't finish the play. Gualterio Frechoso kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Anjulio AFC's Honorato Pio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Anjulio AFC from getting a goal against them. Angelino Gerazan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Victorio Abastas made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Nueve y Tres's Victorio Abastas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Honorato Pio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Sergio Feliz struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Simon Vargas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anjulio AFC. Honorato Pio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorio Abastas in the 64th minute of the match. Epifanio Santo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anjulio AFC's Teofilo Txordon got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jimeno Jobo charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jimeno Jobo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Anjulio AFC booed when Nueve y Tres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimeno Jobo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anjulio AFC's Teofilo Txordon managed to work through Nueve y Tres's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Teofilo Txordon dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Honorato Pio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorio Abastas in the 79th minute of play. Honorato Pio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorio Abastas, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Epifanio Santo struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Honorato Pio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nueve y Tres. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Nueve y Tres.
