Celestino Mikelats sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celestino Mikelats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nunez Senen having to interfere. After some careless play in the Assunta defense, Silvano Alfonso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nunez Senen. The Assunta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nunez Senen should have stopped the shot. In the 38th match minute, Huaco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidio Guifre to maneuver through the defense. Celestino Mikelats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nunez Senen having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Victoriano Oihenarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huaco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Victoriano Oihenarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nunez Senen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victoriano Oihenarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48th minute, Silvano Alfonso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Bonifacio Lon made the kick off in the second half. If Celestino Mikelats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Victoriano Oihenarte could shoot a difficult shot in the 70th minute, which Nunez Senen however easily saved by the left post. Huaco FC were furious when Vicente Bernad was red carded, 72 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave Assunta a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Artemio Enol, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Huaco FC's Feliciano Bernad. 2-3. Victoriano Oihenarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Nunez Senen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 79 minutes of play Assunta's Romeo Quinito was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 80th minute, Romeo Quinito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute, Assunta's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Victoriano Oihenarte fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Mikelats in the 88th minute of play forced Assunta's goalkeeper Nunez Senen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute Celestino Mikelats shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Senen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celestino Mikelats might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nunez Senen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celestino Mikelats ran back to his position shaking his head. 92 minutes into the match, Assunta's goalkeeper Nunez Senen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victoriano Oihenarte. Celestino Mikelats sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Assunta's Jeronimo Estevon got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Huaco FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Assunta throughout the match.
