Spectators: 5100 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jeremias Gil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Belmiro in the 13th minute of play. A collision led to Vilgo getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Evaristo Nerio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascual Ruy having to interfere. Godfredo Eliazar hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After 37 played minutes Capayán got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Nerio. If Rodrigo Abaunza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jeremias Gil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Belmiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Jeremias Gil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Belmiro in the 43rd minute of the match. After 44 minutes, Godofredo Palos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vilgo and the Capayán players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vilgo's Godofredo Palos got a free kick in the 45th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evaristo Nerio to make the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Rodrigo Abaunza got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 56 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Abaunza notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Capayán's Jeremias Gil. Jeremias Gil was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Evaristo Nerio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Capayán's zone, Donato Belmiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremias Gil came out of the goal and Donato Belmiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 71 minutes into the match, Capayán's goalkeeper Jeremias Gil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigo Abaunza. After having played for 72 minutes, Rodrigo Abaunza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vilgo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Abaunza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pascual Ruy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Nerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Donato Belmiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vilgo's supporters rose to their feet, but Donato Belmiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeremias Gil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd minute, Angelino Merexildo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Vilgo's Godofredo Palos got a free kick in the 88th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evaristo Nerio in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pascual Ruy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rodrigo Abaunza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jeremias Gil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vilgo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
