Gogo Ubelteso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ivan Cordairo stood somewhat misplaced when Gogo Ubelteso came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 7 minute. In the 10th minute Lázaro Mincho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulino Ortzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Interacero FC's Ivan Cordairo got control of the ball when Benedicto Berdaitz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ivan Cordairo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benedicto Berdaitz in the 12th minute. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Interacero FC's goalkeeper Ivan Cordairo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Saverio Poncio in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulino Ortzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 21 minutes, Reynaldo Hotz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Interacero FC and the CA RIVER PLATE players grew even worse after the yellow card. 22 minutes into the match, Interacero FC's goal looked a bit too open when Isaac Quintyn came free, but Ivan Cordairo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute Benedicto Berdaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Cordairo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute Lázaro Mincho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulino Ortzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gogo Ubelteso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute Benedicto Berdaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Cordairo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gogo Ubelteso might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ivan Cordairo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gogo Ubelteso ran back to his position shaking his head. If Benedicto Berdaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute of the match, Roman Inocente tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ivan Cordairo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. CA RIVER PLATE's Isaac Quintyn got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Ivan Cordairo managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when CA RIVER PLATE's Isaac Quintyn fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Benedicto Berdaitz took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Ivan Cordairo to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lázaro Mincho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Diego Lixandro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Cordairo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaac Quintyn might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ivan Cordairo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isaac Quintyn ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Benedicto Berdaitz put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ivan Cordairo. Interacero FC's Saverio Poncio managed to work through CA RIVER PLATE's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Saverio Poncio dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After having played for 64 minutes, Ladislao Mitxaut managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Interacero FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ladislao Mitxaut was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute, Saverio Poncio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Interacero FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. When Benedicto Berdaitz came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the CA RIVER PLATE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedicto Berdaitz couldn't finish the play. Interacero FC's Ivan Cordairo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gogo Ubelteso in the 72nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Interacero FC defense, Benedicto Berdaitz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivan Cordairo. The Interacero FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivan Cordairo should have stopped the shot. Ivan Cordairo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gogo Ubelteso in the 76th minute of play. Ivan Cordairo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Lixandro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Isaac Quintyn came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the CA RIVER PLATE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaac Quintyn couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, CA RIVER PLATE's Isaac Quintyn got a free kick in the 85th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Severo Belarmo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Interacero FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Severo Belarmo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulino Ortzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 93 minutes into the match, Interacero FC's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Lixandro came free, but Ivan Cordairo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedicto Berdaitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CA RIVER PLATE walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
