The Cumbia Cerveza y River fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Cumbia Cerveza y River's Agustin Chago looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Nicolas Cambranes sped through Cumbia Cerveza y River's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Maximiliano Maju. The supporters of Cumbia Cerveza y River booed when Central Sportivo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Admon didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Cumbia Cerveza y River getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Adrian Abeitia hit a great ball. Cumbia Cerveza y River's Maximiliano Maju played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualterio Azevedo in the 42nd minute of play. Gualterio Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Maximiliano Maju tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximiliano Maju made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Cambranes in the 46th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Conrado Rudolfo to make the kick off. Nicolas Cambranes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Maximiliano Maju when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 56th minute, Agustin Chago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Maximiliano Maju managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Central Sportivo's Nicolas Cambranes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nicolas Cambranes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 64th minute. Central Sportivo's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Agustin Chago fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cumbia Cerveza y River's protests and gave Agustin Chago a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cumbia Cerveza y River getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Agustin Chago hit a great ball. Nicolas Cambranes struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Maximiliano Maju didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Central Sportivo. Cumbia Cerveza y River's Maximiliano Maju proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Cumbia Cerveza y River from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Cumbia Cerveza y River's zone, Nicolas Cambranes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximiliano Maju came out of the goal and Nicolas Cambranes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cumbia Cerveza y River's Maximiliano Maju proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Cumbia Cerveza y River from getting a goal against them. After having played for 75 minutes, Gualterio Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Central Sportivo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gualterio Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustin Chago in the 79th minute of play forced Central Sportivo's goalkeeper Eugenio Patxi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelo Sol got free with Maximiliano Maju in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maximiliano Maju showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualterio Azevedo in the 84th minute of the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Nicolas Cambranes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Central Sportivo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Cambranes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Central Sportivo's Hermengildo Fortun shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 91st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Maximiliano Maju but with some difficulty. The crowd rose to their feet as Central Sportivo's Nicolas Cambranes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maximiliano Maju. That made the score 1-2 after 94 minutes of play.
