Spectators: 7199 (Terracing: 5401, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Vladimiro Furman took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cecilio Abar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anibal Xabat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the game, Tiburcio Raitin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pocitos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Quarz United the free kick. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pocitos FC! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vladimiro Furman in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cecilio Abar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 15 minutes into the game, Vladimiro Furman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Cecilio Abar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Honorio Berbiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvio Pirmin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonides Sandaili made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Jairo Lleir sent off a good shot on target. In the 31st minute Silvio Pirmin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Sandaili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvio Pirmin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonides Sandaili having to make a save. In the 45th minute Honorio Berbiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecilio Abar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvio Pirmin to make the kick off. Honorio Berbiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bartolo Dalmu came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Pocitos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bartolo Dalmu couldn't finish the play. Jairo Lleir's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonides Sandaili read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Pocitos FC's Silvio Pirmin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonides Sandaili narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 72nd minute Vladimiro Furman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecilio Abar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cecilio Abar made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Honorio Berbiz sent off a good shot on target. If Vladimiro Furman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 78 played minutes Pocitos FC got a freekick which was hit by Bartolo Dalmu. SC Quarz United's Anibal Xabat couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Pocitos FC. Cecilio Abar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimiro Furman in the 81st minute of the match. Cecilio Abar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Honorio Berbiz in the 84th minute. 87 minutes into the match, SC Quarz United's goal looked a bit too open when Silvio Pirmin came free, but Leonides Sandaili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvio Pirmin in the 90th minute of play forced SC Quarz United's goalkeeper Leonides Sandaili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Vladimiro Furman managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Quarz United's supporters rose to their feet, but Vladimiro Furman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cecilio Abar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The SC Quarz United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Quarz United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
