The audience was convinced that Justo Tauro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ezequiel Jerardo was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. In the 18th minute, Justo Tauro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Justo Tauro put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ezequiel Jerardo. Orlando Alonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from German Abad in the 23rd minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Santamarina's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Amor came free, but Ezequiel Jerardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Santamarina players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Yutuyaco AFC were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and German Abad made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Yutuyaco AFC got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Sidro. In the 59th match minute, Yutuyaco AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justino Sazon to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute of the match Siro Eduino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Orlando Alonso skillfully saved the ball. Orlando Alonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from German Abad in the 63rd minute of the match. With his leg Ezequiel Jerardo managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Yutuyaco AFC's Justo Tauro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Justo Tauro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ezequiel Jerardo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Justo Tauro's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Justo Tauro in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ezequiel Jerardo saved Santamarina from getting behind. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
