Roma Baires's Justino Harriet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernardino Cortez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Justino Harriet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Justino Harriet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 19 minutes, Justino Harriet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.S. Roma Baires's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justino Harriet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Justino Harriet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inocencio Sazon in the 24th minute of play forced A.S. Roma Baires's goalkeeper Casimiro Peyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inocencio Santxol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute, Justino Harriet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernardino Cortez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. If Ignacio Ixaka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Primitivo Berdaitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Bernardino Cortez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardino Cortez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Justino Harriet's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Ignacio Ixaka scored 0-4 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernardino Cortez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Ismael Stanislao sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Casimiro Peyo threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Ismael Stanislao this time. If Tomás Gil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Bernardino Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Bieito in the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the game, Justino Harriet lined in a short shot 0-5 behind a frustrated Bernardino Cortez. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Inocencio Santxol managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.S. Roma Baires's supporters rose to their feet, but Inocencio Santxol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardino Cortez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Inocencio Sazon charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inocencio Sazon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Hergaco FC.'s Inocencio Sazon got a free kick in the 59th minute. Edelmiro Bieito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Casimiro Peyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateo Eriz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 73 minutes, Teofilo Columbo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hergaco FC. and the A.S. Roma Baires players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th minute Justino Harriet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardino Cortez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Casimiro Peyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateo Eriz in the 76th minute of play. With 77 minutes on the clock, Guaberto Gartzi commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Casimiro Peyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Montay, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Bernardino Cortez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Harriet in the 85th minute of play. Edelmiro Bieito took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernardino Cortez. Bernardino Cortez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. After a defensive mix-up in Hergaco FC.'s zone, Justino Harriet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardino Cortez came out of the goal and Justino Harriet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A.S. Roma Baires's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
