In the 44th match minute, Sñupi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Tartalo to maneuver through the defense. Matancilla FC's Adolfo Niguel got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silvestre Cebo made a kick off. Francisco Columbo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matancilla FC. Marco Chago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sñupi's Francisco Columbo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Chago in the 72nd minute of play. Francisco Columbo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adolfo Niguel's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute Marco Chago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Columbo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Hugo Tartalo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
